Small eggs????pic's

Whats wrong with my girls,photo with 4 eggs is 2 mallard eggs on left then chicken egg,white egg(store)
other pic is store egg and egg from one of my girls,I'm hoping they are just young(4 1/2 months-5 months)
they are barred rock and RIR'S.
The eggs are really small,and only getting 2-3 a day out of 43 hens.

Eggs get larger the longer they lay. Be patient, they are young yet. I imagine by the end of summer you will have lots of nice sized eggs.

Don't feel bad. They could be REALLY small.

WOW, look at the difference in those eggs. Amazing. Thanks for posting the pics. Do you think chicken size has something to do with egg size in regular size (not bantams) chcikens, or is more by breed?

Was thinking it was just an age thing,but they still taste better then the store bought eggs...
