Small Fly Attacking Faces of Chicks at Night

I wonder if sticky fly traps hung above the birds would help. Remember those kind that used to come in a cardboard tube, and you pull it out from the center? I don't know if they are still available, but maybe at farm stores?

What about permethrin spray or dust? It does a great job of keeping pests away from my birds. Since using it I have way less flies in the coops than I had before.
