We have a 1.5 year old copper maran with a small growth that almost looks like a zit just below her beak. None of our other 4 chickens (same age, different breeds) have this. She eats organic layer feed and free ranges 0.5-2 hours per day. When we first saw it about a month ago, we put a small dab of blu-kote on it just to see if that would change anything, and it had no effect. She's acting normally, eating/drinking normally, and pooping normally. She was broody a few weeks ago, and might be starting to molt.

Is this something we need to be concerned about? Any explanation for why it's there? Thanks in advance!

For me, if the bump had not changed and you see no lesions or canker inside of the beak. I would leave it alone and just monitor it. Maybe try to take a photo every few weeks so you can make comparisons.
