So.......I've got the" bator building bug". I have built a 24"x24" bator that works well. My problem is, I just finished a small bator that is only 11"x 11" inside. How do I keep the thermostat from going off at 101 degrees and not coming back on until the temp is down to like 88 degrees? This is built out of one of those styrofoam coolers that medications come in. It is really thick and I just wish I could get one about 3x this size.

My cooler bator is pretty small too. I found that moving the thermostat closer and further from the light bulb changed how soon it would come back on. Right now my thermo is about 3 inches away from the bulb and my temps @ egg level are staying between 101 and 98. Other then that I just spent a good bit of time adjusting the thermo.

poking a small hole behind my fan seemed to stabilize the temps too. If it doesn't work for you you can plug it back up.

Hope this helps some.

Edited to add: be sure and let it run for a couple of hours or so before starting to adjust stuff. ( I learned that the hard way )
