Small Roo?

I cannot tell if this chicken is a Roo. The tail is curving on the black one, and this one is friendly, much brightly colored, and really chatty. He or she is not any larger then the hens, but is much different in personality and looks

How old is he/she? Are they all the same age?

I’m not seeing anything that shouts cockerel to me, but if the chicken is young it’s likely that it’s a hen that will soon begin to lay.

About 17 weeks.

Thank you for your reply. I think I am just paranoid because I absolutely love this chicken. She plays with my dogs and waits for me at the fence when I come home. I really want to keep her

Pullet! Barred Rock roos usually have lighter overall coloring as well, and yours is quite dark as well as having more pullet typical feathering :]
