Smaller duckling, sits a lot

They look to have pink bills must be my phone. They are beautiful! Well we have found over the years that even being fed a feed that has the amount of niacin required for waterfowl there always seems to be one that just isn’t assimilating it properly and can still show up with a niacin deficiency. That’s where the Durvet liquid BComplex comes in. It’s fast acting ( depending) on how long the problem has been going on and works better than anything we’ve seen tried here.

One of them actually has a light pink bill - compared to the others, it makes her look like she’s really cold! Haha. She’s the one in the front in the close-up photo.

I’ve been giving little Annie a ml of the B Complex over her breakfast in the mornings (separate from the others). Sometimes she is more receptive to it than others...sometimes she’d rather play in the water than eat. She does seem to be showing some improvement, though. How long should I continue the b complex?

Today, one of our other girls, Jo, was walking on her hocks to get around, so of course now I’m worried about her too! I’ve been sprinkling brewers yeast over their food, but it seems like the recommendations I’ve read (1 1/2 tablespoons per cup) are A LOT. I measured it out and topped their food that way for a day and they were all lethargic and acting sad the next morning. Now I’m just sprinkling it on and hoping that’s okay.

I have 1 week old Runner ducklings who are getting 1 Tab per cup of feed of Nutritional yeast in their feed daily. If they show any leg problems they will get the b liquid b complex straight away. Once one has trouble you need to get them on the liquid b complex ASAP. 1 ml daily. Once they have gone at least 2 weeks with out symptoms then you can go back to the Brewers yeast or nutritional yeast and most likely they will need to be supplemented all their lives. If they don’t like the taste of brewers yeast try nutritional yeast mine love it. I also give it to my adults.

Great! Thank you so much for all of the advice!
