I know that I read somewhere about a breed of bantam that at full maturity is about the size of a coke can.. but I can't for the life of me remember the breed, or where I read that.. anyone know what breed I am thinking about, or have I totally made the whole thing up in a dream? LOL

I know that silkies are not the smallest, but I may have had the smallest silkie! Her name was Lefty, she hatched out Jan 29th 2007. When she got nervous she would run circles to the left (hence the name) She was half the size of a regular silkie. Sadly this spring Lefty died, I am not sure why but my little girl found her dead in the coop. If I had to guess I would say it was the cold. She laid one egg that was all I got from her, and it was the size of a pigeon egg. Everyday I would scoop her up and put her in my shirt pocket....well the days that I had a shirt that had a pocket! LOL
She is the one on the Left! lol (Lefty) I sure do miss her.

In this pic she is to the left also. She is standing beside a full grown rooster and hen.

Well, looking at Bob next to my other 2 3 wk. olds, and she is about half their size. In a fe days, my 1 week old chicks will have caught up to her!

But really.. what are the chances of me getting a serama out of the straight run bantam bin at the feed store?
