One of my girls is slacking out there. LOL
This makes #4 for these teeny fairy eggs.
All the girls are a year old.
In all honesty I was not concerned when I found one a few weeks ago, but past 3 days we've found 3. will keep a closer eye on them cause concerned it's not a fluke now.
(The other smaller egg is a Bantie egg. That one I'm not worried about)

So which is the bantam egg and which are the fairy eggs?
Do you have any idea which bird is laying the fairy eggs?
What is inside the fairy eggs?

Have you cracked any open?

The Bantie egg is the one shown with the 3 Fairy Eggs. All others are full size (and above full size. one girls eggs I can barely fit into a carton. they are huge!).The bantam eggs are always significantly smaller, but they are laid regularly and they all have a yolk. We cook them often..they're just a bit smaller.
The fairy eggs are new.
In all honesty I have not cracked a fairy egg yet. I currently have 3 on hand.
And no...unfortunately I have zero clue which hen it is.
These girls are all about 10 months old. So they are fairly new layers. I can tell by "petting" which are laying as they tend to "squat" when you pet them, but I have not gotten my hands on all of them and even the one laying fairy eggs...well she's laying...so petting her will result in the same squat. LOL
Curiosity getting to me...thinking I need to crack a fairy egg and see what it holds

How would one go about "stalking" the nests?
I have 8 birds, but all 8 lay in one damn location.
So I'd probably have to sit out there with a lawn chair and wait.
Yep, Pretty Much.

Do you mean all birds lay in the same nest?
Put fake eggs in all nests to 'spread the love'.

Finally got around to cracking one and yes confirmed, no yolk.
Thing is this wasn't a fluke' I've found 3 more over the past few days. I'm thinking one of my girls is laying these regularly. Anyone have a chicken who lays these regularly?
Thinking I've got a "defective" layer. LOL
