Smashed chickie head

My 14-16 week old Maran/Silkie mix chick has a bad habit of trying to run into the house under our feet. Yesterday my dad was letting our dog in from outside and as he was shutting the door, the chick came from out of nowhere and got his head caught in the door. More specifically, his eyes. After I yelled for my dad to open the door, the chick stumbled out and hasn’t opened his eyes since. The right one doesn’t look injured, but the left one looked sunken in, and it was bleeding a bit. It is the next morning, and it looks like the left eye is starting to go back to normal, but he still hasn’t opened them. I’ve kept him in a dark, cool place so he can rest, but I was just wondering if I should put anything on either of his eyes? I was thinking the left one might be glued shut from the blood, but I didn’t want to further any damage by putting something in his eye without checking with more experienced chicken owners. I fear he might be permanently blind in at least the left eye.

He may go permanently blind in the left eye. Not sure if there is anything else you can do! Fingers crossed he gets better, I hope for the best!
