My three 3 week old chicks are really pooping! The smell is awful!!
They are in a medium sized dog crate with about 2 and a half inches of wood shavings that I change once a week.
Even if I change the shavings in the morning, by night, the brooder stinks!
Could I move them outside now?
Any experiences you want to share?
Advice greatly appreciated

If they have a heat source and it's not to cold where you are they will be fine out side. I've never kept chicks in my house and mine do just fine outside. Three shouldn't smell that bad. What breed are they. Also you could try changing the litter more often. To be clear when I say out side I mean in a barn, garage, coop, or out building not just in the middle of the yard.

I am on my second year raising chicks and I also never raise mine inside either. I have a brooder in my barn and another right in the coop and I keep lights on the babies in there. That way they get used to being outside and all the regular sounds they might here there before they even get to the outdoor pen. With lights they do fine even when it's colder.
