I have a 1yr old generic red sexlink. I recently switched from a regular layers mash to an organic mash. The 4 hens didn't have any adverse response so it may not be strictly related to the food though it's not as high of quality as I would expect for the price. Anyhow, this one started discharging some rather thick, heavy urine scented green and white poo. I started to treat for yeast infection with Epsom Salts with no luck, switched to a de-wormer with no luck, and am now going to explore the possibility of vent gleet (I have discounted egg binding as she walks fine with no appreciable change in abdomen size). At one point she wouldn't eat much, not even bread!! I found that earth worms were the ticket. The only other treatment I did was add garlic and a touch of vinegar to her water.

Upon inspection I found some light tan colored globs in her morning dump (clinging to her poor bum feathers). The largest was the size of a jelly bean, the smallest the size of a split pea. All are firm and stratified as if they started out as small bits then built up in layers. I looked and couldn't find any reference to these in the various poop pictures safe for one that suggested worms. I've attached a pic for your viewing pleasure (how many different pics of poop can a forum get?). The biggest one pictured is about the size of a pea. The inset shows the one cut in half (they're on phone book paper) where the center core is of the same material but clearly one of a few strata of the same material. I'm not sure if this has been going on the whole time or not as I bathed her really well yesterday and was able to distinguish fresh discharge this morning. Thoughts?
