I have a BLUE Silkie cockerel up for grabs and would be willing to let him go free to a BYC member (since I'm sure he'd have an excellent home). He's SUPER fluffy and adorable and looks like he'll have pretty decent type, BUT....
He's got double nails on both feet, which is why he won't be staying. So, if you're looking for a breeder he's likely out for you. But if you're just looking for a cutie to take care of a couple of ladies, he'd be a good candidate :)
I think he's somewhere around 4-5 months old now.

I spoke with DW and with DD again about it and they are very excited! Can we work this out and would you prefer doing it in PM's?
 
I'll have to take a look at my work schedule this evening and see when my next day off is, so I'll have to get back to you about when we can meet up.

I'm in Jamestown, so about 1.5 to 2 hours from you depending on which side of Knoxville you're on. Since I'm letting him go for free, you'd need to pick him up. So, figure out if that's something you're okay with a let me know. And then we'll figure out a meet up time if everything works out :)

He is adorable! We have been making the new habitat for the 3 silkie pullets all afternoon in anticipation of getting him. My daughter said I already want to hold him lol! With the new area for them it splits up the silkies and the 12 red sex links and puts them next to the ducks!

He's a pretty low key kind of guy, and he gets picked on a bit here since he's pretty low on the pecking order (and I have 3 other roosters!) so I'll be glad to see him go to a good home where he'll have some girls to look after!

I'll pop back onto BYC when I get off of work tonight and let you know when I'll be off and we can go from there!

Sounds great! My daughter maybe both (14 and 15) and my wife will be with me when we pick up.
 
No worries, I'm a people person ;)

And it looks like I'll be available tomorrow after 2pm or I'm off all day the day after tomorrow. Let me know what works for you :)
