Looking for 6 hatching eggs. I would like some Japanese bantams, any color.

8 runner ducks, $15 apiece, $10 if in groups, $5 a head if getting all (only cause gfs n landlord hate them). trio of yqung laying jumbo eggs daily now, redS (roo covers hens but stopped crowing when brought out of brooder), $50. maybe negotiable or trade on: espeially decent sized coopscaging, silkies/bantams, pigeon breeds), . pm if interested.

Also two free to good home, outside or in out ratter cats that are spayed shots heathy friendly, n most importantly dont go after birds (songbirds, chicks/bantams ducklings doves, budgies etc..). wont go after pet rodents, aside from one who pounces stalks chases free range rabbit pets even, but they chase cats yanking tails n hair out nipping, so fair trade, odd as the cats kill wild rabbits. one that maine coon mix will drive off coons n large pack rats possoms n groundhogs to chse out of "her" area (i used her as coop cat, as had rats at times in breeding pens of: duck, chicken, pigeon), n she kills small of all above preds, except least weasel that too fast for her).

lol figures.. we get two days of snow, n red cockerel starts sort of what you could call crowing.. or to me well he has always sounded before as a leaky tire underwater. hahaha

Hey everybody! I live in Sullivan county, very near Bays Mtn. My wife and I purchased a new home, and I believe I remember our deed saying "no Poultry". We've been in the home for about 2 years, and recently we've been wanting to start raising chickens in the back yard. I was wondering if anyone here knew where I could go or call to get a permit, or possibly get rezoned, or what I would need to do to start having chickens. Any help is useful, as Google hasn't returned any results

You could probably start by calling your local health department. Are you dealing with an HOA? I ask because, if you are, there isn't really going to be anything you can do. HOAs basically make their own little laws, and they're hard to get changed (because people who choose to live in them vote them that way). If its a town ordinance thing, you might be able to do something about it. Start by calling the health department, if they can't help you, they can at least point you in the right direction

Union county TN here. We are awaiting our mixed flock chicks. Arrival date is April 9th. We have been busy making a brooder and are about halfway through completing a backyard coop. Nice to hear from others in the area who love chickens.
