,Smooth Silkie?

Hi all,
I have a problem! I bought some Silkie chicks from a lady and they are 4 weeks old. They are loosing their baby feathers and the girls (I think...) are getting fluffy feathers but the male (I KNOW for sure.) is not. His feathers are laying flat like a normal chicken, is this possible for a Silkie? Please help me!

I do not breed silkies, but I would say he is a silkie cross. Do you have any pics? What color is his skin and how many toes does he have?

I know a little about silkie breeding and smooth feathered silkies pop up some times.
