snake bit

I witnesed my best chicken Miss Lucky D get bit around the neck by a small copperhead snake it had caught. The chicken jumped up in the air with the snake hanging on. Later I noticed one of its waddles swelling and hanging lower than the other with purple bruising. She seemed ok overnight. Today she's up and around but doesn't seem to be herself. She laid an egg though. Anyone experienced this, think she's going to be ok?

I've not had that problem, I hope your girl will be okay.

Just an update. Ms. Lucky D came out just fine. Never missed a day laying her egg. Her waddle is back to normal and is still top of the pecking order.
