Snake!!Look what I found. I was wondering what was gettitting my eggs

I am a 47 year old 6 foot 2 inch tall and 215 pound man and if I found that in my coop I wouldn't have even used the door, I would have ran throught the coop wall

I don't know what it is but I FREAK at snakes.

Quick story, my then 4 year old son came in the house one day with his hand cupped closed. I asked him what he had in his hand and he said "nite quwawer (night crawler). Well, he opened his hand and he had a baby copperhead. I slapped his hand to knock it out, grabbed up my son and left the room and yes my wife came in to kill it.

They just give me the willies

Do Garter snakes get that big? Mine are only about a foot long (in PA). I do, however have many, many black rat snakes. And those suckers get big! Like up to and over 6 ft.!
Haven't had one in the coop... yet...

I too would have not kept him around, especially if you are wanting to have chicks and keets.
