Ok, I feel like you do about snakes - most of them really creep me out and scare the bejezus out of me. But are you KIDDING ME?

Cities so do have garter snakes. What city do you live in that you think you don't have snakes?

I grew up in a big city. When my brother was a kid, he'd try to scare my mom with these little rubber toy garter snakes, and the one time she laughed at his attempt to scare her, the thing stuck its tongue out at her. I think I rolled myself under the kitchen table laughing. Apparently, he used to walk along the grassy patches along the railroads and collect them. They're in the parks too, and in your backyard.

Far better to just thank everyone in Heaven that you just didn't see one

And probably because the kids on your block are collecting them first.

I invented the world best snake trap. I gave the ruff specs to make one on a thread in here about a week ago. Protect your hen house, gardens &swimming area. I sell them as well.

Chick eating snakes! Brown water snakes. We watched one eat a baby goose. I've also seen one with a huge bullhead in it's mouth. I make a trap that runs all the way around the base of my hen house just tucked under the coop. I'll look for my thread on how to make 1

We have garder snakes here, I don't mind them one bit. BUT if something poisionous were to wander on the property, endangering my kids, dogs, or birds, it would be dispatched. It I had time (as in if it were sunnning on a rock and not in getting-dinner-mode) I would call animal conrol, who would get the right people on it. If there was no time, I'd deal with it myself. Our area luckily doesn't have MANY dangerous snakes. but there are some. I would not feel guilty one bit for killing a snake.
