Snake prep

How often do you get snakes in your chicken coop? I’ve never seen a snake in my yard but do they tend to find you when you have chickens in the yard?

It depends on the area you live in but if you have snakes around, they find the chickens. I think I've seen maybe 5 or 6 snakes try to get into the coop in the year and a half I've had them. Before chickens, I'd very rarely see a snake. I'm out in the country, though.
