Snake thread

Hello @JadeFarms! I love snakes as well. Sadly I have no pics available but I have 10 snakes. I have a: king, milk, gopher, corn, boa, 2 Borneo short tails, 3 ball pythons, and a reticulated python! I also have a pair of legless lizards! Your garter is absolutely gorgeous and your corn is just plain adorable!

I have two snakes, a bullsnake, Spaghetti, and a ball python named Onyx. Both are very spoiled.

Do not know how anyone relates to snakes. You get home and your dog lovingly wags its tale, maybe a little bark to say hello and comes and puts its paw on you and licks you. There is an obvious bond among species. I owned one snake and Id come home and try to take it out of the cage and it bit me twice. It had no affection for me and I had none for it. We fed it to the hungry 15 piranhas my friend had in a large tank. Cruel? Just the food chain, like feeding a snake a mouse. Which one you side with is a personal preference. I just have never seen bonding between human and snake. My friend swore he built a bond with a pet rattle snake. A month later he's in the hospital getting vial after vial of anti-venom. Bonding was an illusion..

I say its not so much bonding as getting the snake to accept being handled and not think you are a predator. Most snake species are solitary and don't "bond". Snakes can still be unpredictable, and especially with a venomous species, you can never assume it won't bite you.

Yep just like a dog. They have teeth they can bite.

I have always wanted a corn snake

Me too!! And ball pythons. Plus I recently learned about Kenyan Sand Boas and Hognoses too and now I need those too. One day I’ll get all four.

I went to an amazing reptile park recently and among many other things, they had SO many cool snakes and it really reignited my snake fire.

Then @Overo Mare fueled it by telling me about all the amazing BP morphs and sending me pictures

And.... well.... I’ve been a goner ever since and have been researching researching researching!!!

And asking Mare 5000000 questions.

Anyway....

Does anyone have a KSB or Hognose? I feel like everything I read is about Balls and Corns hahah
