Snake

Winnie caught a small garter snake today while out in the hoops. Pepper promptly grabbed it away. Amidst the confusion I took the snake away from her, as I thought it was to much for her. She's 4 1/2 weeks old. The snake was 8" long. What do you think?

I would have let her have it. One of my seabrights came running across the carport carrying a frog! body was the size of a half dollar, I thought it was too lrge for her to eat. I kept watch and eventually she did consume it. they do amaze me as to wht they can and will eat.

Snakes are yummy treats for the chickies....and frogs....and lizards..e.tc

If it at least looks good they will at least try lol

I've learned from past adventures, that as long as they are in the brooder box to keep them on their starter crumbles! The poop from those lizards and things is disgusting at least. Once they're in the coop anything goes.
