We respect the snakes. The non- poisonous snakes we rehome. we catch them and put them in a pickle bucket, tight lid. I have a favorite place to take them, it's a big hay field about 4 miles from my house, out of their range. the poisonous snakes we dispatch. no reason to take a chance. And I have lost lots of chickens young and old to big rat snakes, so I would rather rehome them. I got a guinea and they chase the snakes, wouldn't believe it till I saw it, before I got the guineas I average two snakes a week. so it's worth the noise... The snake that ate the golf balls and plastic egg will die, I had that happen too! I called the vet school and they wouldn't even try to save it. Sorry, but it won't be back.....
