Snapping Turtles - Any suggestions on elminating them from our pond?

To be humane you could use a .300 Winchester mag. They would just explode so death would be instantaneous. No soup or stew then.

If you are a good shot and have a larger caliber rifle, wait thill they come out to sun themselves and just pick um off.

I wouldn't want folks to think I left the turtle to suffer. I saw a crow get hit yesterday and not kill him but did hurt him. What should I have done?

No they aren't. Snapping turtles are beautiful and fascinating. They are an important part of the food chain. Although I understand the OP's predicament with his ducks.

Not after they have been sauteed for just a little bit if ALL the fat is removed they are quiet good as table fare

have run them over they are always in the road by this swamp pond that comes really close to the road. I will not get out to shoo a huge boy out of the road and i have no idea how fast they can move i am scared of their bite.

Strange thing is I have stopped and moved those thing out of the road. But is my animals were in danger from one, I would shoot it in a heartbeat.
