sneak attack!

oh my gosh! Shelleyb1969 just came over to visit and we were looking at the meaties running in the yard.

out of NOWHERE comes a huge hawk and swooped down on the chickens! it almost got one with us only about 30 feet away! so brazen! i yelled for her young son to 'get down!' as i have heard that hawks will go after young children. i wasn't taking any chances on him!

we both yelled and it flew off just as quick as it showed up.

it was incredible how quiet it snuck in, no noise, no screech, nothing. death from above!

bet that's what chased my little call duck out yesterday!

you never know about those hawks. I haven't had a problem yet, but every time i see one i keep a close eye out.

i have been out there about 10 times to check everyone. they are all hanging out like nothing happened!
