hi, i am new to raising chicks and got my first 2 day old dark brahma baby a week ago. she is with 3 different species sisters of the same age, and she is by far the smallest and least developed, although not the most laid back. she chirps alot and is very friendly, and eats/drinks regularly. she recently has begun to develope a large crop, which is puzzling because i haven't fed her anything but the recommended chick starter. she is also beginning to sneeze on and off, with a tad bit of liquid coming out when it happens. other then the crop and semi-frequent sneezing she appears perfectly healthy, and she's my first chicken and i really want her to be healthy and happy, so does anyone know what could be going wrong??

The large crop means nothing if she's eating, drinking and pooping just fine. Some chicks/chickens just get huge dolly parton crops while others you barely notice. At this age, if the chick seems active and there are no other symtoms, I'd not worry too much about the sneezing. Chickens can experience respiratory issues just as humans do, some very minor (like allergies or a touch of cold) and some severe. I would not want to try antibiotics unless it seems to become more serious - but I'm the type who avoids medicating unless I really feel it's necessary...

thank you she's feeling better now, her crop went down and she stopped sneezing. her crop is a little hard but i'm not too worried
