Sneezing, crusty nares - vet can't find anything wrong!

I'm sure Whole Foods will have it. here is some info http://poultrykeeper.com/health-suppliments/apple-cider-vinegar

How is her appetite? what type of bedding? has anything changed at all since this started?

And don't feel dumb please.

okay since she has been on an antibiotic the ACV will help with any tummy issues since antibiotics kill off good and bad bacteria.

Her appetite's great! High energy, eating like a piggy, growing like a weed. <3 She just won't stop sneezing. Poor little thing.

What about the other things bedding ? what else has she been exposed too? Almost like she has an allergy to something.

Bedding is a silicone no-slip pad, no particulate matter or shavings at all. I'll try placing her with other bedding to see what happens. I've never heard of a duck having allergies, is such a thing even possible?

I know some times dust can give them problems now whether this is an allergy I don't know. How often does she dunk her head?.

Pretty consistently, she loves the water! She's 8 days old now so I've started giving her grit and tiny shredded bits of lettuce that she loves to chase around in her dish like bobbing for apples! :p

As I said there's no dust anywhere near her, no more than you'd find anywhere else in the house, probably less so since I got that air purifier. We're also getting the flooring totally re-done in two weeks, so anything that would be stuck in the carpets are going bye-bye.

I think this duckling maybe to young to have learned that trick Amiga.

Oh but soon. SOOOOOOON.

What is it with ducklings and peas and blueberries?

I am much, much less learned than Amiga and Miss Lydia but - is your feed particularly dusty or is it eating particularly fast?

I had some dusty feed and everyone looked like dragons when they ate, shooting the dust out their nares. But I've had a few fowl (a tom, a gander and a drake - always the males) that ate so fast they just couldn't actually swallow, choked and sneezed it out.

Just an idea.

Not sure - maybe? It IS starter crumb, so I guess it's dusty-ish since it's basically just pressed mash. Do you think it could be something as simple as that? She still sneezes when she's nowhere near the food, like when she first wakes up after sleeping for an hour or so.

Some feed is very dusty that's one of the reasons I decided to start making fermented feed, the main one how healthy it is. But Amykins try making her food with a bit of warm water and a teaspoon of ACV just to try and see if damping down the dust in the feed helps. sure doesn't hurt to try eliminating things. and what are the temps in her brooder?
