Hi my hen has been sneezing for a couple of weeks now. I give the coop a spot-clean daily and use dust-free straw. She seems fine in every other aspect, eating and drinking normally, and is just as perky as usual. She is definately sneezing and not coughing and she doesn't have crop impaction. She is the third from the top in the pecking order, is laying regually. She also doesn't have any excreation from her nostrils. Should I worry and contact a vet, or is it alright?

Thanks, Tanith

If she has no other symptoms and no nasal discharge or bubbly eyes, I wouldn't worry too much about it. They can sneeze when it's dusty, like when you change the coop bedding. They also make a sneezing type sound when they get a piece of food stuck in their throat.

How often is she sneezing?

That's difficult to answer...
She has sneezed everytime I am up there (that's the end of my garden) with them, but I'm usually with them to clean their bedding and give them greens/treats so both of your theorys are credible, thanks for the advice, I'll leave it for now but I'll keep an eye on her to check she doesn't have any discharge.
Tanith.
