Especially on babies that don't have much immunity to things. She did just fine and was good as new about 2 weeks later. She was a troublesome chick however and a few weeks later broke half her beak off! LOL I mean blood, gore and all of it! I kept her isolated from the others for a day until the bleeding stopped and then used blu-kote on it so the others wouldn't pick at her flesh. I had to wet her food down for several weeks because she was so sore where there was only skin and no beak. Took about 2 full months for the upper mandible to be the same length as the lower one!! LOL
