Yeah!! I have heritage Rhode Island chicks in my basement ( shh! It's a secret),
They are 10 weeks old , a fun thing I discovered with them is that if you lay a newspaper or flyer on the ground they go crazy shredding it , it looks like confetti once they're done , very entertaining and cheap too!!

Oh I forgot why I replied to you, my Icelandics starting sneezing two weeks ago , a few bubbles on the beak too , I added more apple cider vinegar to their fermented feed and let them go outside in the snow , I think the dusty coop just was too much because all is well now

ok thank you that is very good info for me I do have the oyster shells in the coop for them the breed is Rhode island reds.
Rhode Island Reds are supposed to be good layers and are lovely to look at too, I think you will like them. It's hard waiting on that first egg to come, but worth it!
