Do you have photos of your chicks?
At 5 weeks they should be feathered out and really should not need any supplemental heat.
You are in FL, so your temps should be fairly mild (not too cold) so I would start transitioning them to their outdoor coop if it's ready.

Aren't they cute!
If you are still providing additional heat, then I would turn it off and start acclimating them to cooler temperatures for several days, then I would work on getting them outside.
