Caleb paced angrily in front of his cave. Stupid deer! he thought. That was the third time he'd missed. He yowled his annoyance.

Ice Stare rubbed on his shoulder. "Thank you very much. Let's go find shelter."

Darkness fell limply to the ground. A few minutes later it started to snow heavily. It turned into a blizzard. Darkness slowly gained consciousness. He licked his lips and gasped as a cold blast of wind hit him in the face. He curled up and shivered. He looked at Crystal and her cubs pitifully. His head ached and he needed shelter. "Can...Can...Can I come inside?"

"Fine," Crystal said she got up and walked deeper into the cave. Her cubs followed.

Darkness shook his head and limped inside the cave, he had been laying on his paw. He curled up near the entrance.After a few minutes,he urged closer to them. Before long he was so close he could reach out and lick Crystal and the cubs. he was cold and wanted warmth. He was getting to like Crystal too.

Stoney stopped at the cave and walked in, and stopped, waiting for ice Stare.

Ice stare purrred and snuggled next to Stoney before falling asleep.
