Snow!! Yes it is snowing here in MT!

I still have a buttload of tomatoes in the garden....I hope I can get most of them out before a hard freeze!
Canning salsa and juice this weekend......

Yesterday I had the windows open, this morning it was 32 and I turned the heat on for the first time.

I can't bring myself to close them just yet....course when my huband gets home, he will want to fire up the furnace

Ha ha! Opposite here. When I talked to my DH ( he leaves for work by 3:30 AM) about 8 he "reminded" me that I didn't need to fire up the furnace just yet, but I did anyway

Just to take the chill off.

I am ready for FALL, not winter! Really its not that bad, sort of pretty. My FIL is a farmer though and this is not going to make him happy, they aren't done cutting yet

Yeah, the beet farmers here really don't want the freeze quite yet either...last week they had hail damage and this week freezing temps...harvest is not scheduled to start until the 1st of October!

LOL

I remember trick or treating in the snow on more than one occasion, but I grew up in Alaska. Even so, I stick by my premise that snow in September is just WRONG!!!!

When I was in college in Minnesota, it snowed on May 5th. I swore I was going back to Alaska and never coming back. Snow in May is just as wrong as snow in September. I'm looking forward to the first real cool front so I can turn the AC off for the first time in months.

Actually, that snow isn't looking or sounding so bad....
