I think we have a rain cooled 90 degrees today. I can't wait for the first cold front. I wouldn't know how to survive in the snow (being a snow ignorant southerner; some years it never gets down to freezing at all here), but a nice, dry 60 degree day would feel soooooo good....

What does the forcast say anyway? Someone in town said we are suppose to have a hard freeze tonight.

Just recently started to note the harbingers...

The winter bites hard, here, but doesn't hang on. Don't mind the cold and snow at all, but when the `hawk is out' (10°F with a 30mph NW wind) I'm in.

The google for cast says 34 here tonight. DH told me to prepare for a hard freeze to though, not sure what he heard or where he heard it from. I guess my flowers are officially done.

This time last year my hubby was pondering a job in Fort Peck. After reading about the lack of populaton due to frigid weather I decided to stay put in Florida.

It didn't look very scenic in Fort Peck but your pics of your area are gorgeous!! must have mountain scenery before I move. Western Montana is on our list of places to check out before retiring.

What you didn't hear about the Little Rockies up in that area. It is flat in some areas, but got some great badlands too.

The western part of the state is pretty much built up and ugly. Too crowded. I hate going over there. Last time I went over there I was going over 80mph on the interstste heading home.

Maine had snow in June once, but that was a while ago. Full foliage is supposed to be the end of this month. *sigh*
