Up for Auction are 12+ pure snowy mallard duck hatching eggs. This is not the call duck verity they are a subspecies of the wild mallard duck also known as grays. These ducks were breed from wild mallards, but with the addition of two recessive harlequin genes that gives them the snowy white color. They have the same body confirmation as the wild type mallards, but the females have mostly snowy white feathers and the males are green headed with white feathers replacing the gray breast and rump feathers that you see on the wild grays. They are a small duck. Weighing only about 2 1/2 pounds for the males while females weigh about 2 pounds. They do fly. They are very friendly ducks. My ducks love being hand fed. They run up to anybody the moment you get close to the pen. They can be free ranged or they tolerate confinement reasonably well too. They lay 100+ eggs a season. Payments are through Pay Pal Only. Shipping is USPS priority mail and shipping cost is included in starting price. Auction ends on Sunday 04/14/2013 at 7pm. Eggs will ship when payment clears.
