Forgot to say, we don’t get any problems with odours with our coop. I think ventilation was an area the designers focused on. You can also jet wash the coop.
In summer I use a hose with a high pressure setting to clean the poop board daily, with an all over clean weekly. Takes less than 30 minutes for a full deep clean.
In winter I line the poop board with old dry bedding and cover it with newspaper, a couple of layers. I then replace the paper every few days and clean the roosting bar when necessary. Even in winter there is no smell.
