We recently lost 2 clutches of half-baked eggs to a skunk. One of the girls went broody again this weekend on just a few eggs. She's int he same spot that the skunk hit before. Can we just pick her up and move the whole nest into a safe place or will she freak out and break the eggs? Shes a crab, she broke one yesterday flapping her wings at me. I thought Cayuga's were supposed to be nice!?

Try moving her at night when she is asleep. Doing anything to chickens/ducks that they don't normally want done (dusting, moving, mite inspection, etc) is ALWAYS easier when they are sleepy.
