So confused . . . Barred Rocks or Dominiques?

We originally thought Bob and the 3 Bobettes were Plymouth Barred Rocks. But upon further study - the comb is not the right kind for barred rocks - correct? Should be a single comb for BR. Bob appears to have a rose comb, correct? And the bobettes? Is everyone really Dominiques?

My girls looks like yours do, and I thought mine were a possibe BR instead of a Dominique. Mine have 2 different types of combs, and they have the same black shading on the front of their legs. I will watch and see what you find out. I don't have any pics loaded on my puter of them right now.

Your rooster has a nice rose comb. Your hens have the Dom body shape. They are Dominiques. Did you get all of them from the same place? I have 3 Dominiques. I love them the most. They are very docile and quiet. Ryan

The whole lot of them came from MMcM. They are very nice. Bob is not aggressive yet - but he is only 8 months old. He is protective of his flock though.
