Super newbie chick mama! I have what I was told was a BR pullet from a farm store bin. I got her/he with a bunch of mixed breeds that are all within days apart. It immediately grew to be almost twice the size as the others and has never really stayed hunched over, I barely caught the pic I posted while it was pecking at something. It’s always standing upright, has huge legs compared to the others and is sooo incredibly curious.
It’s now 3ish weeks and has most of its feathers. I thought as its feathering came in it would be obvious but all the pics of barred rock chicks I’ve seen have much more “barring”. This chick just seems to have some white smudges here and there and the rest is solid black. So first…is this typical for a BR chick and I’m just too new to know better and second…while it’s early is it looking like a pullet or cockerel?
