So confused

So I am pretty positive this 19 week old silkie is a boy, but when I went to grab him today he squatted, do roo's do that from time to time?

Sure looks like a Roo... but Roos don't hen-squat, no. That said Roos do squat to fend off other Roos- so if you were going after him he may have been submitting to you. The biggest difference is a hen squat she'll put her wings out and head forward, a Roo squat they're just trying to get out of the way and look as small as possible.
