welcome, chickens are great fun but they are a bit of resposability too. Someone recently posted they were harder to keep than cats but easier than dogs and I think that fits spot on.
Be aware of the costs that will be facing you. You need fencing, you need a coop, you need lots of food in a year and a bit of bedding. They can be expensive so don't go overboard. They produce a lot of eggs once they start laying
