So embarressed, and I won't own up to it!

So there was a man up to no good in our neighborhood, and I called the Sherif. We have the number programmed into our phone.
As soon as someone answered I went into a long detailed account of what had happened. I was pretty excited and spoke quickly
At the end I finally took a breath, and the man on the other side of the line says, "Do I know you?"
It turns out the number wasn't the Sheriff, it was Sherif, a business associate of my husbands. He thought I was nuts, but luckily he had no idea who I was, and I am not going to bring it up to him either!

My mom's work phone # is one number off from the Police Station phone number so we get calls all the time! Some people dont even ask if its the Police Station, they just go on a rampage about something, like you!

LOL....that is too funny!!! I am kinda surprised he thought you were nuts though. My last name used to be Sherif (when married to my ex-husband) and we got some STRANGE calls! They usually thought WE were the crazy ones when we insisted that was our name!!!

luvmychicknkids, did you ever tease people that didn't believe you?

The worst part is this is the second time I have called to him, apparently I took the number off my husbands phone and put it on our home phone and my cell.
I think he may be screening his calls because of me!

No, I actually felt kind of embarassed about my name to be honest. I know, shallow, but I was younger then.

It just seemed so strange to me (as well as all the poor people calling, apparently!!! LOL).

Oh, I hope you were able to get the person who was up to no good taken care of as well?
