So, everyone talk about your Polish...

I love mine! Everyone who comes over and looks at our chickens compliments me on how pretty they are. I don't have any really good pictures of mine because they are never still! Even when I catch them on the roost they won't be still for me to take their pictures. They are mixed with other young chickens right now, but my husband is in the process of building a separate pen for my Polish babies before they start laying. All of my Polish are approximately 9 weeks old now. We did have 2 mean Barred Rock hens who wanted to pull the feathers out of their crests, so we separated them. The other young chickens don't bother them too much. (One of the BR hens also pecked one of my EEs so hard in the head that it couldn't walk straight for a few days. That was the final straw. They are on their way to the auction next week and the 2 of them live alone in a chicken tractor right now.)

Here is Martha, my white crested black Polish pullet.

Here is Buffy, a buff laced Polish pullet. On the right you can see the back side of her "twin," Britney.

Here is my rooster, the white crested blue in the middle. He actually has a large pretty crest, but it doesn't look too good in this picture. He was named Melissa by my daughter, but we have to come up with a new name now that it's becoming obvious that Melissa is a Mr. We think the one on the far right (side view) is a roo also, so I will be finding him a new home soon. Between the 2 of them, the lighter blue one is prettier and has a better personality.
