So excited I just had to share!

I received my first ever shipped eggs today. All arrived in perfect condition and I chose to candle as I unpacked to see how rough USPS has been and to my surprise there are no detached sacs or saddlebags. I'm so happy that it's seems they were handled well all the way from TN to NV. The seller was amazing! The original order was for 3, but received 10 (5 of 2 kinds) after talking chickens. Haha. I cannot wait to get these little guys into the incubator tomorrow with a couple experimental oddball eggs(more for my curiosity)!!!

I'll update in 10 days at my next candling.

Congratulations! But just so you know, sometimes the bad air cell isn't apparent until they've been incubating for a week or more, and sometimes it'll saddle badly late in the game. I would recommend not to candle them on day three, but to wait until day seven. I can't think of a good way to explain this, on day 3 there's still a lot of stuff loose I guess. Shipped eggs can easily be harmed on day three with too much handling, that's why to wait.

I'll update in 10 days at my next candling.

Didn't see that part, if you put them in tomorrow, the candling will occur at 9 days? Any particular reason for 9?

That's good to know. I hadn't really heard that, other than to handle as least as possible. Being my first time hatching eggs and shipped eggs at that, I figured it would be a decent amount of days to reduce handling, while also being able to develop a little further for me to semi-easily have an idea of which ones are progressing like they should and which I should watch for slow or no progression. If this is something I should adjust, please let me know.
