So excited I just had to share!

Wow! That's awesome!

What breed????
Thank you. Half are a barnyard bantam mix and the other half are seramas. The seller sent the seramas more for fun and extras as apparently when shipped they do not have a very good hatch rate, if any. I'll reveal my experimental ones at the end. Gotta keep the suspense. Haha.

I received my first ever shipped eggs today. All arrived in perfect condition and I chose to candle as I unpacked to see how rough USPS has been and to my surprise there are no detached sacs or saddlebags. I'm so happy that it's seems they were handled well all the way from TN to NV. The seller was amazing! The original order was for 3, but received 10 (5 of 2 kinds) after talking chickens. Haha. I cannot wait to get these little guys into the incubator tomorrow with a couple experimental oddball eggs(more for my curiosity)!!!

I'll update in 10 days at my next candling. :)
Congrats! Sounds so fun. Looking to breed my serama one day! (4-5 inches tall or so! So tiny) shes quite broody so we will see how that works out

UPDATE!

Okay y'all, after finally getting the eggs to quit shifting I couldn't get my mind off of hoping no accidental cracks happened. Soooo.....I forced myself to do a day 3 candle to ease my mind. Fortunately, absolutely no cracks and I can see veining in 9/10. So now that I can breathe a little I really am going to leave them alone until about day 10 or so. Lol.

Day 10 update!

Unfortunately, we had another quitter so I'm sitting at 8. Down to 4 serama and 4 bantam mixes. I am however amazed at how active these little guys are already! I swore I saw an outline of a wing or foot? This does lead me into another question, as some air sacs have progressed I've noticed that there is unfortunately saddling in some of their sacs. When time comes for lockdown is it best to leave them on their side like they have been or should I stand them up for a better chance of hatching? I just want to give them the best chance possible.

And unfortunately, nothing progressed in my just for fun eggs. I had seen a lot of talk and experimentation on Happy Co. Eggs so I gave it a shot. :)

Sorry y'all I completely forgot to update. 5 hatched. 3 were assists. 1 serama and 4 bantam mix. Here is what they could be mixed with
