So Excited!

We've ordered our chicks and are expected Hen parents the end of April. Been reading a lot and planning our coop/run. Thankfully we have time before they arrive to get prepared and learn all we can. Really interested in fermenting/soaking their feed, and growing fodder. We live in city and do not want rats or possums/racoons terrorizing the girls so wanting to predator proof with 1/4" hardware cloth and keep a clean tidy coop for all concerned. I look at chicken photos everyday and read forums, watch YouTube, its wonderfully obsessive. I love the Black Australorp look, so expecting that, NH Red and Red Star. Can't wait for the journey to begin.
