Glad you joined us. I'm in Central Georgia with hot humid summers. Barred rocks do well here. No experience with RIR but I do think they will fare well there. Surprisingly but Buff Orpingtons are also heat tolerant, my 3 have tolerated well over 100 degree days with shade, water, breezes.
