So Far So Good day 21

These tiny Millie Fleur started to pip this morning as the coffee was brewing. It was a good show to see as we had our morning coffee. They were ready, as it took less than a half hour for them to get out. There are 11 more with one pipped so far. It's going to be a fun next couple days.

I started with 14 Eggs, candled at 5 days and lost one that was not fertile. The rest started pipping right on time on the 21st day. 5 hatched out great. perfect zip no problems. 4 more have hatched today leaving 4. Two of those have pipped and one I can hear chirping. The last one I candled and saw no signs of internal pip so it may be a quitter. This was my first time with my homemade incubator and got 12 out of 14.I know one thing my Roosters are doing their job......

Congratulations on your new chicks I'm going to be giving some silkies a whirl in my incubator over the summer. A friend has a trio of white hoping for some lovely chicks from them.
