Who is that giant floof of white, next to the tiny hen??

Mr P and his lady friend Marty

June 2023 - these days he’s a hot mess, there youngsters are picking at his feathers coming in on his topknot, and his butt. So he is sequestered in the Summer House with his older ladies so his feathers can grow in.

I'm sorry that I didn't recognize him! I blame the garden camouflage. ;)

My dad has the owner's number. We'll let her know about it. But even now I couldn't ask her to pay for Aliss' death. I'm heartbroken but not angry and I can't blame the dog, and I can hardly blame the owner either. I know most everybody here has a different opinion than me on this, but I love dogs deeply, I know how and why they act the way they do, and I know accidents happen. And huskies are furry Houdinis. The dog was out, saw one of my free roaming chickens as a toy and played with her like a toy because she had easy access to her. I know and accept the risks of free ranging. The dog shouldn't have been on my property or have access to my chickens in the first place, but she was and did, and dogs don't have a concept of invisible boundaries/property lines. It's just unfortunate. I can't bring myself to feel any sort of resentment or anything like that.
I feel the same. I can be angry at the dog but it is just their nature.
I am just so sorry for your loss.❤️‍🩹

Day lilies are not in the same familyView attachment 4209724glad I posted a tax pic
When my relative passed from cancer (suddenly) I took Lillies with me to the funeral. They were her favorite flower. I laid them softly on her casket and nobody understood why. At the wake I explained that Serina always told me that she loved Lillies. A look of shock and embarrassment permeated the crowd at that time. And a new respect for family bonds was earned that day!
