Lol... I read every post. The two duck eggs got overheated when the thermometer fell in the water. She went back and got two balut chicken eggs but they were not viable. Grandma gave her a real incubator so she can try again. Quite the adventure!

Welcome and thank you for following along.I haven't had chickens since I was a kid. Bought a new house last year that we could finally have chickens. Went to the store to get 6 and came home with 12. 4 are Americana the rest are Barred Rock. Too cold outside the first night so we put them in the bath tub. Next day, I went to work. Hubby stayed home and transformed an old she'd into a run. Probably should have done the coop first but things worked out well. Have been watching Kikisgirls and her adventures of the baluts.
