So Freaking Mad... Cannot Even Get It Together... Some People Can Just Be So... *Warning, Rant Alert

Last year I was picking a puppy from my friend's dog's litter. The one I wanted, a healthy white pup with soft white fur and blue eyes, I was due to pick. But when I found out that my friend's daughter in law wanted that pup as a pet for her newborn, things looked bleak. I was really mad because no one believe me when I said that a dog would not be a pet for a newborn baby!

Well, that didn't help and they took the pup I wanted. The other puppies that I liked were also promised to someone else, and, in the end, I was left with the last pup in the litter. And she was the last one in the litter for a reason: she had obvious behavioral issues! Regardless of whether I wanted the pup, she was adopted.

It wasn't until she grew into a dog that my parents realized that I was right; that she really did have behavior problems! And that's about when I learned something horrible: the pup I'd wanted, the pup I had a name picked for and everything, had been given away by the people who took him because they couldn't keep him and the baby!!!!!!!

Was I informed that they didn't want him? HECK NO! Now I am stuck with a dog that is practically a spaz! I just can't win... If a person would just listen to me/my opinion ONCE, things would be different, and I wouldn't be stuck in a situation where my first dog is a dog that hates me, and everyone else hates her.

Yes, I have tried training her problems out. I have even sought out professional help! IT DOESN'T HELP!!! Everyone says she cannot be trained! The dog I would have gotten was a white DachshundXMaltese with blue eyes and a red nose. He was not deaf, not blind, smart, sweet, and would follow me everywhere!

I am so freaking mad right now... I just need sympathy because everyone else tells me to move on or shut up... Rant over...

I totally agree, WHY would you take a puppy you didn't even want? That's not the dog's fault.

I agree, if the pup you wanted was not available why did you just take one you didn't really want, and if when you say "spaz" you mean spastic, thats really not very nice, as for the suggestion that you set someone like Ceaser on to him, I think the poor little mite has enough hate in his life without adding to it! Yes this post has made me very angry!!!!

Let's chill, everyone, before we create more hate. It's not the dog's fault, and it might not even be her fault that she had to take him. One never knows these sorts of things.

The ops post sounds like she was made to take the last pup against her wishes by her parents. Chill guys. I've ended up with dogs I didn't want and didn't choose too. It sucks and piling on someone that is already upset never helps. Some dogs just aren't 'good' dogs and never will be. Flame away but chill on the OP

Sounds like your friend isn't really your friend, you might want to put her to the side and move on. and for the dog you shouldn't settle for things you don't want and if I was you I would take the puppy right back to her and tell her you can't keep it and then look for one you really want. You should never settle for things you don't want the world is to big and filled with options and life is to short to waste on things you can't change!!!

That is what happened.

I was planning on getting the pup that I wanted. When I decided not to take the pup offered to me, my parents told me that was just plain rude, since I'd been saying I would take her. I never said I'd take her; I said I'd take the white one!!! when he was adopted, I told my parents and the pups' owners that I DID NOT WANT THE PUP THEY OFFERED ME!!!

And to everyone saying that I should try training her, I have already heard from other trainers that she is not very trainable. We do not have a thousand bucks to spend on a runt pup so that she will become super-smart, so Cesar Millan is out!
