I am a newbie at attempting to hatch out my turkeys eggs. I have finally figured out the candling, but I am completly frustrated with hatching. Two turkey eggs went over their hatch dates by more than 24 hours, so I opened up the air cell end and they were still alive. One died and now it looks like I am going to lose the other one if it isn't already dead. I did drape the membrane and shell in a warm, wet paper towel. SO, I am now thinking that hatch dates mean NOTHING.....and that I should just leave them in there til they stink.....

Please help!!! What do I do?

I am sorry for your frustration. First, I have never hatched turkeys, but I have learned with Chicken/Quail to be patient and always let the stragglers have a few extra days...

    Good Luck...[IMG]
